A Memorial for Dawson

My son David and his wife Patty already had three beautiful, healthy kids when their son Dawson was born in October 2011. It took six months to figure it out, but he had mitochondrial disease and the family was told after many specialist visits, including the Mayo Clinic, that he probably would not live to be three. The next year was very tough, as Dawson and his family struggled with his deteriorating condition. He died in August 2014. My wife Carolyn and I donated and helped plant a Japanese Maple outside our church entrance in Schaumburg as a loving memorial to our grandson.
